Living Wonders

The trees! They're alive!!!

I never thought I'd be so excited to see spring arrive! The bird feeder is the busiest place in our yard, full of doves, finches, cardinals and robins. And they're all so CUTE! We sit at breakfast and watch them eat. In fact, I'm going to have to move Nathaniel from the table because he's having a hard time focusing on his school work. It's why I moved myself to the couch to blog.

And the trees! There have been buds on all of the trees, just waiting to explode. Many of our neighbors have Bradford pears in their front yards and it's been killing me to look at them, ready to burst. Today I go out, after a night of rain, and the buds are opening! I took a picture, but it's hard to see against the deep blue-gray sky. I'll plop it here later. It's still soggy out, but I'll get pictures of our fruit trees in the back yard later. And no, I don't yet know what type of fruit they'll bear. Hopefully not crabapple.

I'm absolutely loving Tulsa! Maybe we'll drive around town later today and look for blooming things. Not exactly the kids' idea of fun, but they'll get to know the town a little better.

Until I write again ...
