Those of you who visit regularly (you know who you are) know that I've been in an ongoing battle to train Nathaniel's cat,Lou the Loud. Lou goes out for the night, and for a long time he would decide to come in at three or four a.m. It's how he got his name, meowing under my window like a wailing two year old, a sound to wake the dead. You also know that I have been squirting him and slamming the door, trying to teach him to wait, only letting him in when it's either daylight or the lights in the house are on. For the last two or three weeks it has worked. What a relief!
This morning, before daylight, I hear Lou crying at my window. No Lou! Say it ain't so!!! So I stumble through the bathroom and look at the clock. Candace, you'll appreciate this - it was 6:30. Of what significance is this, you might ask? I've been getting up at six for the last three weeks in order to get the kids to school, loving the early morning rise time - NOT! Lou has been coming to the door about half an hour after I'm up, asking to be let in. The lights are on, so of course I'm happy to let him in. But on a Sunday morning! When I'm sleeping in! NOOOOO!!!
I give up. Who is training who? Next time I'm getting Nathaniel a pet rock.
Until I write again ...

It really sucks when we discover sometimes that kids and/or pets are smarter than we are. :P
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! That is probably the funniest thing I've read all DAY!!! He's so smart!! Tee hee!
On a side note, your mom finished the pic that she was doing of Troy and Declan. It's AMAZING!!!!!!!
Hey! Lou is not smarter than me! Okay, so his grammar may be a little better ...
I saw the picture of your boys and it is quite stellar! Of course, you have two handsome boys, so how could it not be? :)
