It's early here, and one of my favorite blogs has yet to be updated. Nathaniel's in the shower, Mae and Oliver are gone, and Chris is actually up. Not awake, though. Then, neither am I. But it's just after seven, so all is forgiven. And all is well. Maybe I shouldn't blog this early - not making sense.
This early in the morning, the most activity in the house is Lou. He's been awake and alone all night, so when I get up he races down the stairs for love. And food. He spends half the morning eating, bits and pieces in my lap, and the remainder tearing up and down the stairs, around the house, into Nathaniel's room as soon as his door opens. This is if he's spent the night indoors. If he's been outside, he's spent the hour or two before I get up meowing at my window, playing the "see if mom can get me wet and make me shut up" game.
Time to make breakfast. Bake more pumpkin pies. A friend emailed and asked for my recipe. :) The recipe's no secret, but the pumpkin prep sure is. After pie, time to bake wedding cookies. Mmmm ... a delicious day on tap.
Until I write again ...

Sounds delicious! I made a pumpkin pie last year with REAL (read: not from a can) pumpkin and it was...well, as good as Mrs. Smith's!
Isn't it just the most fun to make real pumpkin pie? I still have a pumpkin that's sitting in the kitchen, waiting for the butcher knife. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
