I think we've found our favorite restaurant in Tulsa. My friend, Bev, has recommended Lanna Thai several times, but I've never gotten over to try the food. Chris and I went out Friday and I was in the mood for Asian food, so we headed over. It was a very late dinner, as I took Oliver to the library at seven to hear author/illustrator Floyd Cooper speak. His illustrations are fantastic! I have a weak spot for children's book illustrators. If I hadn't been so hungry we would have stayed to buy a book and have him sign it (I love having books signed!).
The atmosphere at Lanna Thai is simply perfect. Comfortable, with a live band. The child who was out of control at the table next to ours was a little frustrating, running back and forth, being loud, but the rest of the experience was perfect. The food - wonderful!
I think it will be while till we can afford such a nice date again, so I intend to savor this one for a bit. After all, Christmas is coming, you know.
I hope that all of you have a happy Thanksgiving. Remember to really give thanks this year - we have a lot to be grateful for. I'm grateful for all of you who read this blog!
Until I write again ...
