Once Upon a Time, Part Deux

Where was I? I just realized that there's not much more to this story. The little girl grows up, marries and has a family. She never became a ballerina, a singer, an artist or a writer. The clumsy little girl certainly never became a basketball player.

Somewhere in the middle of all of it, the girl left home and went far away to Tulsa, OK, to college. No, she didn't fall in love there (okay, there was one long-term boyfriend who had great potential, but this girl had a few screws loose and set him free to be with another), except to fall in love with Tulsa. It was nearly 20 years after leaving that she finally moved back and fell in love all over again (see the sunrise photos below).

And now, this grown up girl, far from southern Louisiana and hurricanes (Katrina is a story for another day), is content to be what she always wanted most to be as a grown up. She's wife to a hunky college professor, mom to three spunky, weird kids, and is a college student again. Does it get any better than that? And here in Tulsa, just an hour or two from great hiking and camping, gorgeous scenery and intense weather year round. No, it certainly doesn't get any better than this.

For your viewing pleasure, I've even included a picture, above, of all of us in our glory. Aren't we beautiful?

Until I write again ...

Flea

I'll have to dig up the pictures of the house I grew up in - a couple of days after the storm the roof was visible.

But you're happy and that's what matters. I love those car decals.
