Let It Snow!

It's snowing! We've been here just over a year and we finally got SNOW! Lookit! Lookit! Isn't it beautiful?! The children all got off the bus, peed, then RAN back out the door with sleds. (Okay, they peed in the toilet - happy now?) The dogs ... well, you can see that my baby, Patches isn't thrilled. Her brother, Flash, wouldn't even go out into it.

When the kids came tramping into the house, cold and wet and demanding cocoa (I'm out), they started stripping at the front door. I thought I'd raised them bett
er than that, but I guess I was wrong. Thankfully, they're all dry and warm and settled in. Ready to start their homework. Do teachers give homework on days that it snows? They really shouldn't.

I was in the fourth grade classroom today where I volunteer, and the kids were working on snowman math. They all kept stopping to look out the windows. So did I. There's nothing more BEAUTIFUL than falling snow! I left early so I could drive home in it and marvel at its wintry whiteness.

Are you tired of my gushing snow post yet? I'm so excited! Can you tell? LOOK AT IT!! IT'S SNOW, FER PETE
'S SAKE!!!!!

And last we have a picture of my house, lightly dusted with snow. And badly in need of a paint job. Any volunteers? I'll buy the paint.

Until I write again ...

First of all, I LOVE your house. Even needing paint (although I can't tell).

Hon, if you so desire snow you seriously need to move farther north. It's not such a novelty up here and you can enjoy it to your heart's content.

I'm glad the kids got to play in it though. Even the 4-legged ones.

I'll send you some fresh Maine snow...I am sick of it! I love having a white Christmas, but after that I just want it to all melt!

Give me sunshine and green grass any day!

Too bad it'll be gone today or tomorrow. Oklahoma snow is pretty, but very short-lived.

You'll buy the paint. Ooooohhhweeee! You drive a hard bargain, but I think it'll take more than someone buying the paint to get me to paint a house. But if you throw in a personal servant for a week that looks like Brad Pitt who is only allowed to wear a loin cloth, then count me in!

Cheers,
Tammy

Oh, shameless plug - contest on my blog today: http://thecolorofohome.blogspot.com

To bad you don't live near me, we just got a foot of snow last night. Somehow I'm just not nearly as impressed as you are.

Your house is beautiful and I'm glad you kids peed in the toilet.

We're getting a foot of snow mixed with ice pellets and freezing rain up here in the Great White North today and tonight. Would you like to come shovel my driveway for me? ;-)

You all are so sweet, offering to send me your snow and let me shovel your driveways! I truly wish I could take y'all up on those offers. Really. I do. Again, thank you.

So pretty! We got snow a few weeks ago in Middle TN, but it started after dark and was gone the next morning. My little guy didn't even get a chance to roll around in it!
Thanks for clarifying on where the kids peed! Whew!

Lori, we seriously considered moving from Orlando to Tennessee, but Tulsa won out. Hope your boy gets real snow soon.
