Just for kicks I'm posting a picture of my textbooks for this class. The green one is Systematic Theology, by Louis Berkhof. My biggest goal for the remainder of this never-ending class is to finish that never-ending book. I have loved ST, but it's taking a year and a day to get through.
I'm sure you've noticed the University of Phoenix binder for my syllabus? No, I am NOT pursuing a Masters of Religion from U of P. My Hunny happens to work for them and I love that it's the binder for my syllabus.
I really should, next weekend, post on some of the things I've learned in this course (my final exam is next Friday). That means having to remember to post it, remember what I learned. Okay, it's because I'm feeling icky. But I have been learning. Like ... how to read and study for a master's level course. The first half of the semester freaked me out, not having done this for a couple of decades. I was panicking all the time, taking copious notes, listening to lectures more than once. I'd totally forgotten what it meant to be a student. I take that back - I remember how much time I wasted in college and how much I hated classes and my major, so I'm taking this seriously. I'm in it to learn. And I'm loving it.
But I really should get back to studying. Two lectures and one reading assignment and I'll be ready for the final. WooHoo! Then it will be time to start the next class!
Oh, and Monkey says hi.
Until I write again ...

I'm feeling the same way and like you I'm trying to avoid work. It's a little cloudy here but no rain yet. Mine must just be PMS
Happy Mardi Gras! :D Today is the day to cast your cares away and save your worries for another day! Did you ever get King Cake? Mom said she was making some so give her a guilt trip if not.
Nice and sunny here, but the clouds are going to be rolling in soon. We're always about a day behind you in weather.
Keep studying. I've been. Just two more months till my exam. Good luck on your finals. :)
Mom brought a king cake over a couple of weekends ago. Hey, give her a call? She went to the doc this morning because this stuff has taken to her lungs. She sounded icky. And she took the day off.
Kelly, I never even considered PMS. That's probably it. Ugh.
YOU HAVE MY DOOR MAT!! I love the Monkey Mat... good ol' Target!! I love anything Monkey!
Monkey's make me happy. And I need a bit of happy today too. Just a bit, don't want to overdo it.
Thanks for the grins, I can always count on you for that.
Hugs,
Tammy
BTW, thanks for the doggie diaper suggestion. It might be a while before he comes home from the hospital, but I'll definitely get the kind you suggested. I thank you. So does Chappy.
Funny, I'm feeling bloggy today, too. We're expecting 8 to 12 inches of snow tonight...second week in a row, I think I'm gonna lose my mind if this snow doesn't stop....
I'da luuuu-uuuuv to hear wha-chu been learnin' at, hon. [my grandmother wanted to speak to you -hope you don't mind]
I sure wish you could send some snow our way. I'm sure you wish it too.
And Dlyn, I sure wish I could tell you what I'm learning. This is my very first class, and it's been fairly broad. Just an introduction to Reformed theology, what it is. It's fascinating. But I'm horrid with technical terms and big words in general, of which there are many. Let's do lunch and I'll tell you everything I know. :)
Hey Flea it was dismal here all day too. Tonight the fog is like pea soup, glad I'm not going anwhere.
Happy studying.
I've been meaning to ask - where did you attend college?
Oh crap. Do I have to answer that? Maybe I'll email you the answer. :(
Love love love the Monkey! :)
Yaaaaaaay monkey!
