What Am I going To DO With These Two?!?
I have had more trouble than I know how to handle with these two since our visit to the farm. This is what I find when I get up in the morning. They're as bad as the dogs! I'm surprised their tails don't wag when they hear the jingle of my keys! Nearly every day I come out to find Fred and Bessie waiting by the front floor, imploring expressions on their tiny ceramic faces. What on earth am I supposed to do with that?
Well, you moms of toddlers know exactly what I'm supposed to do with that, don't you? What would any good mom do? That's right, she'd take them out to the car, maybe even drive them around the block, just to get it out of their system and make them happy. So ...
I
was a good mommy and took them out to the Caravan. Yes, that's a filthy carpet. The bovines don't seem to mind, though (just like the farm! ew!). They're just excited to be outside, getting into the car. Can you tell from their body language that they're happy? Expectant? Raring to go? It's killin' 'em.
With the price of gas these days, I really am too cheap to drive around the block just to
please the cows, but I did let them pretend to drive. Don't they look positively beatific? Too bad they can't see over the steering wheel, or I'd let them spell me on long trips. Y'know, I don't think their feet will reach the pedals either. Silly cows. But I'm glad that it doesn't seem to take much to make them happy. Much like toddlers. Did I say that? You all know better (Burgh Baby's Mom really knows the truth of this one!).
Until I write again ...

Do you remember a few posts back, when you were talking about what you would write about if you wrote a book? And I suggested a story with your little multi-colored friends, there?
Yeah. The more installments I read, the more I can see a series of childrens books about their adventures. You are remarkably creative, and your imagination seems to know no bounds when it comes to these guys.
I love it! And even though I don't have small children anymore, I'd still buy the books in anticipation of sharing them with my future grandchildren.
Which, if my children have any sense of self-preservation at all, won't be for at least ten years (for the older one.... fifteen for Bug)!
Thank you. :) I've struggled my whole life knowing I wanted to write, but never really having a passion for a subject, forcing myself to write about certain things, practicing the art, never giving over to it fully. These two seem to just pull it out. It's a lot of fun. We're about to do a photo shoot. I'm finding that that might be the missing element, the visual motivation. What a great journey! Thank you so much for helping me see it, think about it, dream about it!
TOO cute!!
Wow, your cows really get around!! Pretty soon they are going to put themselves in an envelope and go on a tour of the country...hmm, I might be on to something...
I'd be happy to host them for a weekend.
I love this story! We need the book now....
I agree... the book. THE BOOK! THE BOOK!!!

Oh no! They're trying to make a getaway!!! LOL!
Ha, they can even drive? Love it.
