Short Story

Today, April Fool's Day (as In the Gutter has so graciously reminded me), I'm posting a Fred and Bessie short story on their web site, Formica Fields. I wrote it yesterday as an assignment for the writer's group I've recently joined and had a great time with it! The assignment went something like this:

Write a sentence with a texture in it.
Write a sentence with a piece of furniture in it.
Write a line of dialogue with six words or less.

And on and on. It was a lot more interesting than I'd anticipated. Go check it out!

Until I write again ...

P.S. Popping around to blogs, I hopped over to my daughter's to see if she'd updated, and found this. I about died laughing! It's so PERFECT! At nearly 15? Oh yeah, that's her all over!!!

I'm in bed AND working on my paper -- but couldn't resist. Love Formica Fields! Have to say, tho, I want more movies!

Oh, and I couldn't figure out how to comment on Formica Fields. It wouldn't accept my url on OpenID and the Name/URL option was gone.

I am cracking up! I read your daughter's info on the side bar and she said her favorite food is ham. I'm gonna be laughing all day! What a hoot. Hmmmmm.... if I liked ham I would copy her and put that in my profile.

Love the teen expression on her face too!

At least she didn't say she likes SPAM. Cute post of hers - pic with that caption is hilarious!
