The Hunny, Oatmeal Head and Little Guy are going to Cub World this weekend for a big camp out. They're all so excited! There's fishing gear in the corner of my living room, a rolled up tent sitting next to it, plans and directions scattered around the house, all the proper forms have been turned in to the proper people. The boys are leaving!
Here I'll be, alone with Maybelline for a couple of days. What do I have planned? Climbing tomorrow morning, of course, which Maybelline is beginning to enjoy. Laundry, which she is not. Trying out my new dryer lint brush with the ten foot extension rod. Woohoo!
On a side not: Little Guy is getting ready for school, putting on his socks, complaining about his cowlick and asking for hair gel, telling me the purple sparkly stuff is okay. Then, "Here's what I wanna do. I want to grow my hair out long and dye it black. It looks cool." I just smile and nod.
And right now I need to run. Subbing in a pre-k class today. My favorite!
Until I write again ...

Oooh, texture is fun. My friend did a stucco look in her kitchen and painted it a rustic red. Looked very Italian. Or Southwest. Depends on how you decorate. Anyway - it was fab. Can't wait to see pics.
Ahhhhh... the joys of household projects. Oy.
I texturized our family room last summer by dumping craft sand into the paint. I rolled it on the walls then went over it a couple of times with a big brush making criss crosses. I was so STRESSED because it did not look good until I went over it again. You can't undo that! We actually like it now that pictures are up, carpet down and furniture in. However, the next owners of the house will probably curse me.
Ooooo - I can't wait to see how it will turn out!
I hope you come out alive after a day in Pre-K. That's a SCARY place to visit!
Okay, I've decided that Katie and I are coming over for your girls' weekend, and Austin and A.J. are going camping with your guys. Wouldn't that be cool? Kinda like an "I Dream of Jeannie" kind of move, and it happens! I'll just cross my arms, blink, and flip my hair! hahaha! I wish! lol.....well, you guys have fun. I know your wall will look gorgeous. You're always good at that kind of thing.....or you can surprise your Hunny with a camoflauge hot pink wall with glitter when he gets back and act all nonchalant like you don't know why he wouldn't like it!! kidding! that's sooooo not you! now me on the other hand.....maybe Katie and I should stay home!!!! heehee
Hey when you are done you wanna come do my TV room? Alright fine, I guess I'll try to talk hubby into it. LOL
Have a great weekend! :o)
Thanks for the words of kindness and confidence.
Good luck with your spackel
Can't wait...need progressive pix...
My son is having his entire house done this weekend and using an orange peel paint. What fun.
oh my goodness, that is a task and a half that lol
Please show us the finished product!
I'm dying to know the story behind that wall. Did it have wallpaper at one time? Who had fun drawing and writing on it? Tell more!

I'm also interested in seeing the finished product!
can't wait to see the new wall...or hear how your dryer lint brush worked out...I was always tempted to buy one, just didn't know if it actually works...
I'm afraid of texture . . . at least do-it-yourself texture. I feel vaguely like it would look like I smeared poo on the wall and then tried to paint over it.
