Y'all have been extremely helpful in figuring out what I planted in my garden last summer. Thank you. I knew that I purchased a peony bulby thing, but I thought that I'd killed. Guess not. Yay for me! Now this thing. This here. What the heck is IT? Any clue? And the little green thing behind it? Anyone? I'm lost. I'll send a Fred and Bessie autographed photo to the first person who correctly identifies this THING.
Until I write again ...
Flea
P.S. The other photos are going out in today's mail. Sorry ladies!

Potentially an oriental lily in the background. Even in the foreground, could be a trumpet lily????
I agree with AG. Liliy. Are you working in your closet today?
Um, it's a green thing...I have no idea. LOL
A greenthumb, I am not.
Um, Liliy? Lily. You would never know that I actually have a brain...
I agree that they look somewhat like Oriental lilies or possibly the tall late blooming kind of phlox. Though I try to keep records of where I have planted what, I always seem to have this same kind of mystery every spring. All you can do is wait and see - eventually all with be revealed. And I came over to say that there is a F&B update now.
Lillies, the tall spikey kind. When you don't know what it is, you say, "it's a happy accident." or "it's a gift from the birds."
They are flowers not weeds so wait and see.
looks like my lily... mine love to surprise me and change up on the bloom colors :D
Poison Ivy!
No? Damn.
I would have said a weed and pulled it out. Dang, how many potentially pretty flowers have I yanked???
hey there! I can't help you with the flower - sorry. I followed you back from Burgh Baby just to beg you for that spinach recipe! Seriously, are you giving it out?
A stick with leaves. I can only identify three hundred species of grapevines by leaves not plants...Sorry!
I can't quite tell for sure, but if it's what I think it is, it's a weed. is the stem a little fuzzy? If so then it is a weed.
It is definately not a lilly. I am a lilly lover and I must have about 7 different kinds of lillies. Lillies don't have fuzzy stems. I don't want to be rude, but it may be some kind of a weed. You'll definately find out if you keep letting it grow. heh heh
So, I'm throwin my hat in the Lily ring. Oriental or Asiatic. Whatever you want to call them. I don't see the fuzz some have mentioned. It looks to pretty to be a weed.
The one in the background scares me. It reminds me of the droves of mondo, aka monkey grass, we have that is trying to over-take our flower beds....Hope it isn't for your sake!
((Flea))) You gave me the recipe!! What a tre cool chica you are! I've already printed it out and have two pounds of ground beef with "Flea's Spinach Meatloaf" written all over them *s* Thanks a bundle!
Lilly, yep lilly.
