Stay tuned for a music review later in the week! Ms. Hanson-dePaula has contacted me again about an album for a new artist, asking me to give it a listen. This time, instead of an artist I've known and loved for 20 years, she sent a second album from someone with whom I'm completely unfamiliar. Amy Courts, the artist, will be releasing the album, titled These Cold and Rusted Lungs. Immediately I was drawn to its title.
Ms. Courts has suddenly become a stepmother. The album's content is a little heavy lyrically, which I love. But I'm not reviewing it yet! When I do I'll give you links and all kinds of fun stuff, as well as a release date.

Yes, I've chosen to sneak this picture in under the above announcement rather than headline with it. Just in case Marguerite isn't paying attention. Who am I kidding? She's always paying attention. But maybe she's busy thinking about what movie she'll see this weekend, or where to buy a house (Tulsa! Think Tulsa!). Maybe she won't see this picture.Wasn't she the cutest thing ever? I chose The Younger Years, starting you all off easy. The little guy next to her is our baby brother. Not Lil' Bro, but the genius scientist working on a doctorate somewhere south of here. For future reference, I called him Chewy. Chewy he is.
Y'all have a happy and safe Memorial Day! Ours began with a hail storm, about a quarter to six this morning. It didn't want to end! So glad our roof hadn't yet been replaced.
