No Photos Today

I appreciate everyone's sympathy over my wounded shin. Really. I do. And the bruising is coming along, but not drastically enough to warrant pictures (stop cheering!). What I miss the most - I just realized it today - is my little phone. I happened, however, to find the perfect phone for me! Check out the Motorola Motofone F3 Dual Band.

This phone, my friends, was made just for me. Marguerite and Mary, y'all are going to laugh when you read the description of this thing. There are no games, no bells and whistles. It rings. It makes phone calls. The display is black and white. It's appropriately cheap (can I get an amen!). Oo! The display is also that new Kindle type screen - the one that can be read in sunlight and is similar to a book. So. To recap. I can call people. People can call me. It has book qualities. Everything I want in a phone!

Now a Kindle is a whole different story. Have you seen it? Check it out!

If the picture will work. Sports Mama and I were talking about this little beauty awhile back, and while I sensed she wasn't sold on it, the more I looked at the features, the more seeds of lust grew in my heart. All I want for Christmas is a Kindle. It's lovely. It's perfect. All the books download to one site and take up no shelf space. But it reads like a book. I want one!!! *sigh*

I must shut off the laptop before I cry. I'm moody and emotional. I must spend money to side my house and pay the insurance deductible for a new roof. And throw birthday parties. Not buy Kindles. Stink. Oh well!

Until I write again ...

Flea

Shenanigans!!! You are a stinky party-pooper!!! PPPHhHHHtttt!!! :P~

You bought THAT PHONE after you called and asked advice from my techno-geek Hubby for 15 minutes?!? I KNOW I heard the words "PDA" and "Smartphone" somewhere in that conversation. :P

*calm breath*

Oooohhh... a Kindle!!! I want one too. :)

Wow, I take a few days away from the computer (which I NEED to do once in a while) and look what you do! Hope the leg heals without a scar. I have to say, I have always envied frekled skin. I think it is just gorgeous!
Stick with the basic phone. My hubby gave me his old Trio (like a Blackberry)when his job gave him a new one. It is still in the drawer. I like my basic little flip phone, thank you.
Love that your Mother's Day gift will be planted in the ground.
I just planted mine in the front beds and in hanging baskets yesterday!

Yeah, I bought THAT phone. I wanted to go with the PDA phone for other reasons, but when I saw this one, it was love at first sight. I might have wanted to marry the up and coming lawyer for his money, but I really loved the starving artist, so I married him.

Lori, I'm with ya. :)And the bruise is just beginning to purple nicely. Finally!

I'm just not sold myself on a Kindle. I like the feel of real book pages.

Sorry about your leg. The bruise looked nasty to me.

I can't wait to see the photo evidence of the bruise. This should be lovely!
Congratulations on the new phone. Hopefully there won't be anymore tumbles with these kinds of consequences!

AHH! The Kindle: the downfall of civilization. Future generations will find these things in the dust a thousand years from now and not know what a battery is to power it. Alexandria burns again, in techno-fashion!

Heh. I got a little carried away, huh. :D

Until they can make that Kindle SMELL like a good book... I'm probably not going to be sold on it. :)

I'm not so sure about a Kindle either. I am just an old woman who likes to turn her pages. Good luck with the bruise:)
