Hey Lucy! I'm Hoooome!

I'm home! Yay! And coming to visit all of you and catch up this evening! Hoorah! It's been miserable, being out of the loop, not knowing what's going on in your lives! I've hated that part of orientation.

You knew I couldn't have Mr. Rebel home and not bombard you with pictures, right? Let me show you to what I came home today.

This is the south side of my house. This morning when I left I could have sworn that there was siding and black plastic there. Several hours later there's new plywood sheathing with new insulation beneath it. The boys have been busy! That's little guy on the ladder.

Then I walked to the back of the house and found Oatmeal Head and the Hunny, busy as can be. Their next step is Tyvekking over the plywood. Then installing the Hardie board (stucco look for the bottom on the north and south sides - I know, I know, but many of the neighbors have that look, so it should work). But the Hardie will be tomorrow.

While they worked I wandered over to check my poor, neglected vegetable garden. Check out what Little Guy found today. He and Oatmeal Head figure we're growing Mexican onions and this little thing snuck in over the border with them:

They wanted to pull it but I wouldn't let them. It complements the onions and carrots quite nicely. I really do want to know, though, how a cactus got into my raised vegetable bed.

I'll tell y'all all about my new job this weekend. But for the next couple of hours you can expect to see me at your place. Unless, of course, you're a lurker and I don't know where to find you. But that's okay.

Until I write again ...

Flea

Yeah You! Siding! No more black plastic tent living!! That must've been thrilling to pull up to. I hate how unfinished home projects nag at your brain all day.
He REALLY deserves a Happy Dad's day treat :-)

I thought your DH's head was on fire for a moment before I enlarged the photo.

Hey we need a crew to work on my son's house. Can they travel.

Just don't pick the cacti and mistake it for a vegetable! :)

Oh! I'm so glad that progress is being made on your siding. Thank goodness hunny appears to know all about that stuff!
I love your little cactus!

Your veggie garden looks 110% better than mine. Mine is nonexistent. Apparently veggies like sun and since we have NO SUNLIGHT once the trees filled in... sheesh... I just let the grass take it over and now we're mowing it. You almost can't tell where the garden HAD been.

So sad. I cried. You're the only one I told that to.
