June Back Yard Meme Continued

Mr. Rebel has gone back to earning his keep. Not that he can ever really earn that $145 back. But it's not his fault that his creators endowed him with a plastic shutter assembly pin. He now sports a handsome new metal pin in its place.

He was busy last night with Dlyn's old meme, taking pictures of the view from my back door. Wanna see? I did promise, after all.

Now let's see if I can dig up the pictures from mid-May. I'm not sure what I had in the ground then. Winter was taking its sweet time leaving Tulsa this year.

Can you see any difference? The Hunny spent the better part of a day tearing up the long bed, framing it and getting the grass out of it. Then he planted our beans and some other things. Seedlings. Not sure what they are, really. Cantaloupe, maybe? We'll just see. And the strawberry plants, in the second raised square bed, have grown.

But look at the tomatoes!

See how they've grown? The taller ones in the back are my WalMart tomato purchases, but the shorter ones are our seedlings from - what? - February? They're growing. And on the right are, I think, zucchini and golden squash. I hope. More seedlings that weren't marked.

So there you have it. How does your back yard look this time of year? I'll be snapping more photos in a few weeks when, hopefully, I'll have something edible to show for my trouble. And takers on a bushel of tomatoes? :)

Until I write again ...

Flea

Your garden is looking good! I am jealous over your hostas - mine only have four leaves - at the most! Of course I think yours had a head start!

Happy gardening!

Is it ever going to stop raining? The wind from down there just keeps pumping wet air "this a way" and the cold (OK, cool) air from up north keeps wringing it our right dang here. Good start on the garden. kepp up the good work. MUD

Sorry... no tomatoes for me (ever!).

So glad you got your camera back and I love seeing sunshine. I haven't seen it in days!

Man - I wish I had a yard to put veggies in! The way food prices are going, I'll need veggies grown in my yard to survive!

Plus - WHAT GIVES WITH THE TOMATO SUPPLY!!! I didn't realize how much raw tomato I eat on a daily basis until it was taken away from me. *sniff*

I don't think you want to see our backyard. The 1yr old dog likes to "garden". She just doesn't grasp the concept that you dig the hole, put a plant/seed in, cover it, and LEAVE IT ALONE. LOL Our yard looks more like a land mine test site. She is doing a little better, she is down to 4 main spots. I'm jealous of all your veggies to be. Maybe someday...

Marvelous! I envy you your large back yard and the potential to have an orchard, large garden, decorative area ... pretty much whatever you'd like.

I am impressed. I am not very good at growing veggies. Flowers I can handle, veggies not so much.

Looks terrific! and I will take tomatoes, yummy.
My back yard really needs some mowing and weeding. Since our big yardwork weekend a few weeks ago, not much has happened back there.
