Miscellaneous

First of all, let me clarify. I do not iron sheets, towels, jeans or t-shirts. I only iron the clothes which need to be ironed. I feel better, thank you.

Sorry about yesterday. I didn't post, did I? I've completely lost track of days. And eating. Working nights is messing with my body and my head. So glad I'll only be Saturday and Sunday nights. Beginning tomorrow.

Now, on to the good stuff! Good for me, that is. Check out the progress on my
house! First, where we left off:

And THEN, where they are now:

Pretty cool, huh? I'm impressed and amazed. Oatmeal Head is working for that Wacom Tablet (he wants to be a graphic artist). The Hunny offered to pay him for his work on the house, thinking OH would ask for a dollar amount. He's such a cutie - he said what he really wanted was a Wacom, but it cost $400. Seeing as we're saving about $8,000 dollars doing this ourselves, I'd say a Wacom is quite frugal.

This was the easy side of the house, and they still have quite a bit of finish work to do (sand, caulk, nailing that siding above). I thought I'd show
y'all the staging area for all of this beauty in progress:

Yeah, it's my back porch. Or it was. *sigh* Too hot to use it anyway.

Off to the movies. Little Guy turned eleven this week and his two best friends in Tulsa are coming for movie, pizza, ice cream and a sleep over. The second will arrive any moment. I wanted to see Kung Fu Panda, but it's not my birthday, now is it? They want to see Iron Man.

Until I write again ...

Looking good!

Bizarrely enough, I've been as happy with Wacom's smaller (and much cheaper) Graphire as I was with their larger tablets. That may just be because I tend to zoom in on what I'm working on, though.

I've missed you and I've got a lot of catch up reading to do on your blog. I LOVE that F&B are touring the world -- that is sooooo cool!

The house looks FAB and I think you should hire those boys out... they do good stuff!!

Okay, back to reading... hugs!

I do almost anything possible to avoid ironing... and I can't even imagine ironing something like a sheet. Gak! So i'm glad to see we're on the same page there! :)

Happy Birthday, Little Guy!

Very cool choice of payment, Oatmeal Head :) Now I just found something else to add to my wish list.

I am so very glad you do not iron sheets, towels, jeans, or tshirts. That would just be too much ;) Is it bad that I do not even know where my iron is? I do, however, know where my ironing board is. And although it is almost 15 years old, it is in excellent condition LOL
