Many of you are aware of my mom's art work from past posts. Today I have a piece newly near and dear to my heart. A new portrait of me. The title caught your eye, no? Made you wonder, yes? Good! I like wondering. And wandering. And lots of other things. I took my meds today. Honest.
First, a little background. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but it's worth 1,357 words with background.
My mother has a friend from the Ukraine, Angelina, whose brother (still in the Ukraine) is a pastor. He's developing a game - seems to me it's a complex board game - and using pictures of famous Bible characters. The Hunny was doubting Thomas. My lovely SIL was one of someone's daughters. Lot's daughters? A friend of Mom's was Joseph, and his son was one of Joseph's two boys. All beautiful. Me? I'm the Queen of Sheba. And I really am this thin and beautiful. Really. REALLY!!! Why don't you believe me? Really.Dang, Vern. I've nearly forgotten how to upload photos. I'm going to attempt a run to the camera shop tomorrow to pick up Mr. Rebel. I miss him so.
Oh! Back to the portrait of moi! It's a colored pencil work. Look how big my eyes are! They're that big in real life. REALLY. Dang, I wish I looked like the Queen of Sheba.
