What Came in the Mail

I'm so excited! My first day to just be home and be mom in three weeks, and what comes in the mail? A Flying Screaming Slingshot COW and Slingshot Flying Chicken! Not that anything could upstage Fred and Bessie, but check it out! They're so cool!

Last week I ordered a book from Amazon, Word Weavers, written by a couple of my Florida friends, and Amazon so kindly reminded me that these two were still in my cart. Well I couldn't just leave them behind, now could I? Let me show you up close:

Isn't cow cute? She moos when she flies. Here's her underbelly (Oatmeal Head is all about the underbelly):

I love udders. And here's chicken, who squawks when she soars. What a joy it must be for chicken, flying!

Yes, they're slingshots. Very loud slingshots. One more flight shot:

The boys are enjoying these two. Now what on earth shall we name them?

Until I write again ...

Flea

P.S. Thanks for the help with the squeaky sneakers. :) I'm going to try the powder in and on the shoes. And I got in this morning about 7:30, took Little Guy to the bus stop (summer school, poor kid), then slept till two. Yeah. Two. Have I showered and dressed yet? Noooo. Kinda enjoying just sitting around in my PJs, playing with the screaming cow and chicken. Heh. Have a great rest of the day!

Wow. I am sooo glad I vetoed that idea. A friend suggested the screaming monkey as one of the annoying gifts. :P

**laughing** LOVE the slingshots!! So cute!! Bessie's calf would have starved if her underbelly looked like that, though. Poor thing.

You mentioned the Twilight series to me before, but I never read it. I will at some point. AFTER the move, tho, please!

I've seen those slingshots at Bed, Bath, & Beyond so I KNOW just how much noise they make. You are one cool Mom for having those suckers around!

Just don't get your eye poked out by a flying chicken, mmkay?

I covet the chicken - and now that I know where to buy them a la The Burgh's comment, I will be obtaining one.

I love the sling shots. Glad you are getting some rest.

in answer to your comment on my blog: the bike really is too small for her but we told her she had to learn on the old one and get comfortable before we would spring for a new, bigger one. She has some money coming to her this summer and she is thinking of a new bike for herself.

I bought Justin the screaming slingshot monkey for his birthday last fall...he's got it at work to annoy all his coworkers (many of whom are my former coworkers so the revenge is pretty sweet...hee hee!)

Now kids, don't try this at home...

My only naming suggestion? Avoid the obvious Cow and Chicken. Reminds me too much of an incredibly mind-numbing, brain-cell-slaughtering cartoon that I've forbidden my boys to ever watch.
