I thought I'd pop in photos of headers I've had over the last few months. Maybe y'all can help me? Let me know if there are any which you loved and want to see here all the time? And the one above - it's a sunset shot I changed in Photoshop. Took about 30 seconds. And I'm open to a new saying. I was rather fond of the C.S. Lewis naked quote and am considering reviving it (you'll see it in the headers below).
First, let me say that I asked my Hunny to design a header for me a while back and he did the very first one, simply making changes in the template. Not something permanent which I can retrieve. I think one of the first headers I did myself, though, was something simple with this picture in it:
Then I played around with Photoshop (I'm a dangerous woman with a power tool, and Photoshop is DEFINITELY a power tool). Started coming up with things like this:
Lellow Flea
I like this one. A lot. Shoot, I like most of them. That's the hard part, see. I'm the type of person who walks into a huge store, overflowing with a variety of merchandise, goes straight to what I want and get simply that. Some people are overwhelmed, but I simply don't see anything but what I want. Like a horse with blinders. Is that my problem? Have I not yet seen what I want? I don't KNOW. Help me!
Here's another one I tried, one which I'm not really wild about, so please don't tell me to use it.

Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi! You're my only hope! I'm lost, y'all. I'm tempted to make this a contest to see which is the most popular, but I'm not really about popularity. I want to be happy with the one which stays up. Or happy with changing it regularly. I'm open to suggestions. Really. But you know, if there were something I was set on? None of you could change my mind. Stubborn that way.
I've made a poll for the sidebar, to make this easier for all of us. No idea how to use it. Heh. Just click on one, okay? And leave me a comment if you have any ideas for something completely different? Thanks! Maybe I'll turn it into a contest after all. Give me a day or so to decide. hmmmm, I think I like the lellow flea. But the watermelon one is very cool???
Of the choices, I like the lellow one best. But if it were my blog, I'd change it periodically. I get tired of looking at the same thing all the time. I change my computer desktop around completely every few months.

I like www. I also like to cahnge up the blog often so it doesn't get boring. It's like a magazine with a new cover each month.
I change my blog header with the seasons...that way, I'm always happy when I see my header and it also helps me keep it current.
I like the WWW-Watermelon one and the Sunset one equally! :)
I liked the scanning pictures series myself. I can't say there is "a" favorite. I say keep changing them. I liked the new quote a day too, although I have no idea how you always found an applicable one.

Truth be told, I make a point to come to your blog daily, partly to see what the header will be. I'm not partial. I really like them all. It gives me a better idea of who you are.

I started reading your blog when you just had your younger self up. I really like this last one. It's a bit large, but hey, it works. You should change it up a bit every once in a while. It gives us something to talk about!

Flea I like that you change your header. I come in wondering what I will find. But then I do move furniture on a regular basis and love how fresh it makes everything feel. If pressed though I like lellow flea the best.

I liked the current one the best. It is a little dreamy and far out. But I also like the watermelon one. That is cute too. I don't know. I like them all. I can't pick, too hard.
Yeah, when the page started loading my first thought was "holy cow, it's changed again". But I like that. You keep us hopping. Like the way you changed your saying every day for a while there. I have heard that orange is typically a color you use when you want to clear a place out though... I happen to like orange, so I'm still here.
I love the watermelon one but it is a bit blurry, so I understand your not wanting to use it. I voted for the green one just cause I love that photo of you. But now I am going to tell you one of my deepest, darkest secrets - don't tell anyone because lot of people have them: I don't like headers that fill my screen when I go to a blog. I like to see the top of the first post when I get there and I dislike scrolling past the same big header on blogs I vist all the time. Obviously I still visit them though. And changing your header is a good thing - I love to see new ones on people's blogs.
i say its your blog change it as you so desire I did get a kick out of the watermellon but I also love the young pictures they are just great!
