Weekend Update

It wouldn't be the weekend at Flea's World without a house update, right? Right? Check out the progress:

Oh. Hey. Sorry. I thought it was going to rain and got really excited. Did you know that it's been between 104 and 106 degrees here the last few days? That's kinda warm, even for me. And I'm the kinda girl who loves to climb into a hot car and just sit. It's cozy, ya know? But this is more like climbing into an oven to sit.

So, that said, we got no rain. We also have little progress on the house. I think
the Hunny's afraid the paint will spontaneously combust while drying if he paints in this heat. I'm afraid the Hunny will spontaneously combust in this heat. But he's managed to get a little done, mostly in the mornings early. While it's still in the 90's. See?

He got the side door painted! He also painted the other side of the house, the side friends of our dubbed the camouflage wall. Now it's just green, but I was too absorbed in the sky to take pictures of the wall. Sorry. But look!

It really did look like rain. I'm so disappointed.

Until I write again ...

That side door looks smashing!

The house looks great but those clouds are cool. We never get rain here in the summer.

When I saw your first photo, I thought "Rain?! Flea got rain and I didn't?! No fair!" We didn't even have clouds that looked like yours, or I too would have gotten excited. Instead I pulled weeds Saturday in the 102 heat. YUCK!

Oh, you have having hot days too! Is the humidity still really high?

The problem is that it rains but it stays up in the atmosphere. If it's cloudy like that, I'd like to see some benefit from it.

Love the color of the house and the red door is awesome. I don't blame your DH for not working in this heat.

OOO!! Pretty clouds, pretty house colors! May I borrow the Hunny when he's done with your place? It's only 96 here...

The sky pictures are really cool! It keeps raining on and off here, but it's not a cool rain it just makes it muggier.

The house is really looking good! I admire your Hunny for his work but be sure to keep him hydrated!

The cloud are super! Of course no rain is a big bummer. We are going through that too! It sucks!

Who wouldn't love a red door? The house looks awesome, Flea. And that cloud looks like it means business! Sorry it was just toying with you!

Outstanding red! I love it :)

If we get extra rain :( I'll send it your way after our drought is over!

Have a good sleep this Monday morning :)

The red door is awesome! What a big project.

We haven't had rain here either. Our fancy neighbors with the sprinkler system have a beautiful lawn while ours is brown and scrunchy. Who wants to spend the whole day moving the sprinkler around the yard just to have some green?

It's good to be in touch again. I look forward to getting back in the groove. Even though there's really no time for it!
