Update

Thank y'all for your sweet words and prayers.

I took Hunny to the surgeon today, who wiggled his knee and made Hunny scream. Doc scheduled a scope for tomorrow at 3:30. We have to be there at 12:30. No food for Hunny after midnight tonight, which I think upsets him more than surgery.

The scoping procedure - inserting a tiny camera into his knee to see what needs to be done - sounds really cool. Check out the description. Unfortunately, I know my Hunny and he won't want to watch what they're doing on the monitor. I'm wondering if they'll let me stay and watch. Hunny is wondering if he can talk them into knocking him out. Either way he'll be out - he'll pass out if they leave him awake and wiggle cameras and things under the skin of his knee.

Depending on what is found, his recovery could be very quick. If it just needs to be cleaned out, the doc says he could be walking right away. Not very well, but walking. It may be that he needs to have the meniscus repaired or removed. I'll let y'all know tomorrow evening what the deal is.

And I got some sleep, thank you. Feels so good to be awake again.

Until I write again ...

Flea

It's arthroscopy...and I believe he will be put under, at least I've never heard of being awake when this was going on.

I hope the scope goes well and cleaning things out helps tremendously. I know after my elbow surgery I had very little pain...of course, i don't walk on my elbow...;)

Hang in there!

Oh, I'll be praying. I have knee issues myself and will be having a cyst removed sometime in the near future.

Oh no!! I hope all goes smoothly for you!! (I, too, have a hubby who refuses to go to the ER without putting up a huge fight...so I feel your pain.)

Hope everything goes okay, I will say a little prayer, but I think it will go well. My husband had a knee replacememt last year.

I guess in our relationship I'm like your spouse. I go to the ER not him. I have bad knees, too, so I totally understand the agony. Prayers are being said.

Glad he is OK and on the mend! My hunny is in a boot right now. His ankle swelled up after running and he put off going to a doc for 2 weeks. Finally the pain got so bad he went in and found out he has a stress fracture.
PS, the Natl Lampoons thing cracked me up! My favorite part of that movie is when the grandmother starts to pray and says the Pledge of Allegiance.

I know I'm behind and I'm sure you've got an additional update posted, but just the same, I hope it's minor and he comes through it fine. :)

Hope all goes will with hubby. I had arthroscopy a few years back. The doc that did mine promised I'd be awake and I even took a book to read, but either he lied or the folks at the hospital didn't read the instructions, cause they put me under. I hobbled in and walked out.

BTW, I love the smocking you did on the little purple dress. I've done a white daygown smocked in lavendar and purple for my first great neice. I'll post a pic on my blog on Thursday. I'm giving it to her on Wednesday night and don't want to spoil the surprise. I buy a magazine called Australian Smocking and Sewing where I get most of my patterns. In fact my two granddaughters are in the last or next to last issue where they post pictures of the designs people have done.
