What Have I Eaten?!

Straight Shooter posted a meme last week which intrigued me. Initially I wasn't going to play along meme style, but I'd sampled too many things on the list and couldn't resist. I might even tag some of you at the end, so cover your eyes when you get to the bottom. :)

Here are the Rules:

a. Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
b. Bold all the items you’ve eaten. (I made them red so you could see them)
c. Cross out or italicize any items that you would never consider eating

1. Venison -It's just okay
2. Nettle tea - ummm ... anyone? Ew?

There is a LOT of stuff there I have no idea what it is, even some of the stuff you've had. I LOVE POUTINE!!!

You have to try poutine, yummy!

Holy cow! (And no, I haven't eaten one of those.)

Your rendition of this is far more entertaining than mine would be. 8>)

Loved the comments most of all. Your tummy is obviously feeling better! Either that or you just found the source... all those really nasty foods. Ick. Now, where's mah cheezburger?

Mental P Mama said...

Your comments take the cake. And make it a Red Velvet

Karen said...

You really get around the food world, don't you? Sadly I've realized that I don't get around enough while reading this list.

You're right...alligator does taste more like pork than chicken...and it's also more of a pork texture.

Flea said...

Wait. I'm pretty sure I've had goulash. Maybe even made it. Does it have eggplant? There was that one summer when the garden was overflowing with eggplant ...

And Red Velvet cake is my FAVORITE.

Daryl, if you could coordinate my trying all of these in one sitting, I'd be game.

HOW FUN!!! I've tried (or denied) so much of this stuff. I LOVE to eat foreign!! But wait, isn't Kaolin clay used in "face masks"? Hmmmm ... maybe next time I'm dallying and primping I'll take a nibble. You crack me up! I just love coming to Flea's World. Hey, I think we'll read over these at dinner ... ummmm ... maybe AFTER dinner (some of those things like haggis may make me gag to even read aloud). : ) Thanks for the giggle.

My Swiss Chef friend, Karl, makes hungarian goulash that absolutely beats all I have ever eaten. YUM!

Beth said...

What IS some of those foods! lol

Somebody tell me what Poutine is. I will have to Google it.

Jan Parrish said...

Seriously - some foods to look up. I have no idea what they are. Others, I'll just plain pass. I have no desire so eat snake or haggis or caviar. And Horse? No thank you! Why not dog meat? ugh.

Dennis said...

I can't play because I don't know what most of them are!!! However "Poutine" did catch my eye ... I don't think I've ever had it ... but I have had PA-TUIE .. (usually at my mother-in-laws house and she called it stew!)

Lori said...

Just did this. It was fun, but that poutine looks like a death-trap! Don't do it!
