I KNOW I said I wouldn't post again till Tuesday. I LIED, okay? Geez. Can't a girl change her mind? That's why women have cleaner minds than men, you know. We change them more often. And don't worry - the Birthday Extravaganza is still in full swing. Pop over there if you haven't already left a comment to enter the contest! (I agree with whomever said a fun giveaway would have been just the straight pin - maybe next time!)
I just had to update on the happy state of affairs which has been my birthday. Yes, the Hunny truly forgot. Two years ago, though, he came home from a job interview in Tulsa, the day before my birthday, to tell me he thought he got the job. We'd be movin' to Tulsa! It was the best birthday ever. Tonight might have been the second best.
I have pictures! Now, I must tell you that I handed the camera to Oatmeal Head. He's never used it before. I wouldn't let him use the flash because I didn't want everyone to be blind. My bad that there were so many awful pictures. But I'll share a couple of the better ones with you, including some I took myself. Let's start with the van and what I woke up to this morning (I didn't think to take pictures till tonight):
The other side ...
Cool, huh? I got to drive around town in that ALL DAY. I actually really enjoyed it, because I'm just weird that way. It's my birthday that way.
Tonight the Hunny - who forgot it was my birthday till Maybelline reminded him Wednesday night - got together a group of my friends at the last minute and we all converged on Abuelo's, a yummy Mexican restaurant. Their espinaca - a creamed spinach - is to die for! There were 20 of us in all. Picture time!
The Hunny and his faces. He's back and center. He was stressed. He arrrived an hour and a half before dinner to make sure we got the table for 20 and would all eat on time. He rocks.
This is my mom with friend Donna. Donna makes a fantastic angel food cake dessert with chocolate pudding that's divine. We didn't have that tonight.
Here I am, playing with Mr. Rebel's flash (he kept slapping my hand and giggling). I so rarely get pictures of Oatmeal Head, so I kept this one. Poor child. Here's a better one, though:
Aren't they silly? And one of Maybelline with her friend, Jules. We love Jules!
A good time was had by all. And I'm grateful. I feel so loved. It really started, though, with y'all's comment and emails. Thank you! I truly am blessed and loved.
Oh! Oh! Gratuitous Bella shot!
Wait. Y'all didn't want to see any pictures of me on my birthday, did you? I didn't think so. Tough. You're getting one anyway. I can do that, you know. Here.
Two for the price of one! Me and Jules' mom, Di!
Until I write again ...
