Kitten Update

Quick update. You'll all appreciate this. Or not.

Bella? The missing cat? Little Guy comes in yesterday afternoon - hours after all of the writers are gone - with the cat. "Mom! You'll never guess where I found her! On the dashboard in the van!"

Yeah. My van. The one which now smells like cat pee. Thanks. It was about 24 hours, but she's been drinking water non-stop since then.

Someone take pity on me and come get this cat. Take pity on the poor cat.

Until I write again ...

I'm glad you found the kitty! How did it get in your van?

Oy. Sometimes it doesn't pay to get out of bed!

Yeah, how did it get in the van? Unfortunately, I can't come & get it....Since I have two chihuahuas.

Best of luck :)

Simple Solution......it's at the pet store. It is an enzyme cleaner. It will help. Sorry about your kitty trouble. Nothing like cat urine first thing in the mornin'.

No, not the nostalgic van!

I'm glad kitty is okay. I can't imagine if finding her later. Cat pee smell is better than what it could have been. Time to get a black light flashlight and some Nature's Miracle and play CSI :)

I wonder if Heloise has a helpful hint for removing Cat Pee odor from a van?

Yeah, be sure to get an enzymatic cleaner. They eat the odor-causing element in urine. Otherwise, it just gets masked and will assault you on the first hot day that rolls around.
One of my cousins locked a cat in the cab of his tractor for 2 WEEKS and it survived, without kidney damage. They are amazing, resilient creatures... but I'm very glad OH found her!

At least you found her! I hope you are able to get the scent out, although I know that will be nearly impossible to do. Yuck.

(BTW, got your email, plan to respond tonight. My brain is sloooooooow.)

oh... wow. There's nothing like the smell of cat pee in a hot car.

Poor kitty - may I suggest some "Nature's Miracle" for your car? That stuff works wonders - that cat pee smell is otherwise very stubborn! (Not that I've had it in my car before - but - um - I've had it in other places.)
