Torture Time

Warning! Lots o'photos!

What an incredibly beautiful day! Tick check! We're home from the river, but I itch all over and feel like things are crawling all over me. Maybe it was the bug I felt crawling under my ponytail before flinging it to the rocks. Or maybe lying on the beach to get better shots, only to find, on standing, a giant spider crawling away from me. Whatever it is, I'm all creeped out now. Ew.

Mr. Rebel made the trip today, as did Grandma. And the Babies. All of them ha
d a great time. Mr. Rebel maybe the best time of all, after he reminded me that there was a zoom lens in his case. Woohoo! Before the zoom lens:

After the zoom lens:

Isn't my Patches a pretty baby? I have more dog pictures. Many more. I'll only torture y'all with a few. Heh.

Flash is my water baby, as is Little Guy. Little Guy rolls up his pants and goes straight in, looking for fish to catch with his bare hands. He spends the entire time we were there in the water. Well, almost the entire time. We knew it was time to go home when we found him like this:

Yeah. He's our sensor. Pretty cool, huh?

Oh! More dog pictures! Sorry - I almost forgot. Easily distracted.

Flash and the Hunny. Always makes me smile to see my guy and the dogs.

Maybelline and Patches. Aren't they my pretty girls? But Patches is as easily distracted as I am.

Oatmeal Head and Flash. Did I mention that Flash spends the entire time in the water? He's insane that way. And he loves to fetch. OH loves to throw for him, but gets tired of tossing sticks and never seeing them again, as Flash only gets halfway back before dropping them. Now Oatmeal Head throws rocks. And Flash dutifully swims out to retrieve them. But wait! I have to show you other shots in the sequence:

Yeah, he's wet. OH knows what's coming. Kinda like Maybelline and the squirrel (wait - I haven't told y'all that story yet), but not. Watch.

You knew it was coming, didn't you?

One more:

Isn't that the cutest thing ever? As long as we're laughing at poor Oatmeal Head, let's coo, too. I'll show you one of my favorite t-shirts, one I found at a thrift store in Florida:

I used to embarrass him by saying, "Awww!" every time he'd wear it. I stopped.

Now Maybelline - so many great ways to embarrass her. But since she's still under the weather, I won't. Instead, here's a cute photo of her and Grandma:

Now here's a cute photo of a moth!

Yes, I'm easily distracted. And I should probably stop now. And go to bed. Or give Maybelline some more Epsom salt and water.

Until I write again ...

What a wonderful day! Great pics too Flea.

It was too cold here to think about going near the water.

Wow. Now I wish I had moved to Tulsa. Beautiful family, beautiful pics, beautiful babies, and an awesome way to spend a Saturday!

Wish I could have been there to roll up my jeans and stick my toes in the cool water!
PS, you look so much like your mom!

I'm glad you all got out and had a nice day! Boy, your mom sure looks young.

Hope your daughter is feeling better. I'm concerned that she's still under the weather.

Love the last picture of the butterfly.

What a fun day! We seriously need to get some family time logged. Somehow I don't think all of doing our own thing at the corn maze counts for that.
