2. Real tree or Artificial? we had fake for years, then switched to real. Now we go to my grandmother's at Christmas and don't put up a tree. The kids are pretty ticked about it.
3. When do you put up the tree?A week or so before Christmas if it's real
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually the day after New Year's. I'm tired and tired of Christmas by then
5. Do you like eggnog?Oh. My. Word. I have the BEST eggnog recipe EVER. Email me at fleabyte at gmail dot com for the recipe. It's to die for, people. Seriously.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Probably my long haired Barbie head. I learned to braid and practiced for what seemed to be hours.
7. Hardest person to buy for? Adults in general. I love to give gifts but always find it difficult
8. Easiest person to buy for?Daughter - always anything musical will do
9. Do you have a nativity scene? no - and I really wish I did. Wait - I have a tiny ceramic one with pieces missing, so I think it's seven pieces instead of nine. Got it at the Dollar Store when I first got married.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards?I love to mail cards and photos, but have gotten really bad about it over time.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Heh. Let's start with my burning down a kitchen on St. Patrick's Day of 1991. Move to many years later when my MIL's gifts to me were a fire extinguisher and oven mitts. Yeah.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Depends on the year and the funds. This year I started early

15.Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, Christmas soup (Bigos)

18.Travel at Christmas or stay home? Going to grandma's!

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? People start to get really snippy and angry
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? not red - did that on the tree one year and never heard the end of the Bloody Christmas Tree

One year I decided to decorate the tree the way I wanted to, instead of with MIL's hand-me-down stuff. I bought red ornaments and lights and red TINSEL. Looked like blood all over the tree. Horrid.

We were just talking about worst presents recently. I once got a scale from my MIL. I really believe she didn't mean anything by it. LOL. I still love her.
