Quote for the Day

A friend of mine sent me an interesting quote this morning and I thought I'd share. Yes, I'm cheating. I have a house to clean and groceries to buy. It's amazing how lax one becomes while still eating Thanksgiving leftovers. But leftovers don't make good breakfast for the children. So I'll leave you with this and bid you adieu for the day.

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Thomas Jefferson

Until I write again ...

Flea

P.S. I popped over to Daryl's first thing this morning and thought I'd share the link she has up. My youngest child is determined to run a cat shelter when he grows up, so this one is near and dear to me. Check it out, will ya? Thanks!

So true . . . scary, but true. Jefferson -- I could read him all day. I'd love to pop over to Monticello and walk with him through the gardens and chat.

I went, I saw, and I clicked :) I'm sure my oldest would join your youngest in his endeavor to save the cats of the world. Although he was only one at the time, I think maybe having... I think it was 18 cats and kittens at one time, had an effect on him. I miss being a foster home for momma cats and babies :( Sadly, our dogs, especially the newest, are not especially fond of cats.

It's true and may be too late. Have you browsed foreclosurestogo.com Lately?
