Toffee Sneak Review

This is post number 599 and I can right whatever I like. Right? So if I want to show you photos of toffee and tell you about it, I can? Yes. Even though I'll officially be writing about it next week. (I can't believe I wrote "right whatever I want" instead of "write" - sheesh)

Y'all! Reading at the Rocking Pony last week, I was taken with Karen's toffee. So I got me some. And was promptly sick and couldn't taste anything. But today! Today I got my taster back. After I told Ron, at English Toffee Anytime, that I'd be tasting and reviewing next Tuesday. See, the toffee was staring at me. Waiting for me to give in and try a nibble.

First, I must tell you that when it comes to good toffee or dark chocolate, I'm a nibbler. Unlike my friend, Nipper, I savor my good chocolate and toffee. In fact, a premium bar of dark chocolate usually lasts at least one week, sometimes two. Any more than a couple of nibbles, in my opinion, and the wonder of the experience dissipates. The beauty is gone. So know that this box of dark chocolate almond toffee will last me about a month (I hope!), carefully guarded from thieving family members. I may share with my lovely sister in law, but that's probably it.

So. The toffee.

Lovely, isn't it? I gave in. I tried a nibble. The smallest piece in the box. I thought maybe I'd died and gone to Heaven. It's that good. I'm thinking that I'll have the box finished long before Valentine's Day. And that's what I'm wishing for, even if I have to order it for myself. Oh. My. WORD. It's that good.

So I'm off to make dinner. And nibble on some toffee. Then hide it well.

Until I write again ...

Flea

Told you so. I'm so glad that you got your own. But the downfall now is knowing that it exists.
