I've been busy all week working on Christmas ornaments. Not normally given to crafts or Christmas things, this has been something I justify as artistic rather than crafty, and gifts rather than decorating. So there. But I talked about it awhile back and am nearing completion of the project (Yes! It's a project!), so I thought I'd share pictures now, while Christmas is still two weeks away. Yipe! Is Christmas really only two weeks off? Make it stop!!!
My Evil Sister came for Thanksgiving and helped me blow the center out of a bunch of eggs. For proof I offer pictures.
See? She's holding an egg. That's proof, right? And check out our Hunnies being total geeks:
I think they were looking for a movie to see and wound up going to Appaloosa. They liked it.
So the Evil Sister was blowing out eggs, as I said:
First you poke the holes, making sure to poke a tiny hole in the pointy top with a straight pin (two or three pokes close together), and a larger hole in the bottom, about the size of a pencil eraser,
then you blow,
That's my favorite part. See her little chipmunk cheeks? She was having so much fun.
I wasn't letting her have all the fun just so I could take pictures, even though she's not much of a photographer. Here she proves herself a decent picture taker. And I prove I suck at egg blowing.
Yeah, I cracked every one I attempted. Something about my big "man hands". Dang it. Look at the ones I attempted:
Then Maybelline had to give it a shot:
Isn't she cute? And I love it when Maybelline and the Evil Sister get together because they're always laughing:
Anyway, here are the results of the egg blowing:
Meaning I very gently rinsed each egg under a tiny stream of water from the faucet, making sure to run the water through the eggs, cleaning out and off any trace of the innards (that's a technical term). Then let them dry.
Tomorrow I hope to show you what I've done with the eggs. It's been a busy week. I'm not sure I'm happy with the results, but it is what it is.
Until I write again ... (IT'S ONLY TWO WEEKS TILL CHRISTMAS, PEOPLE!!!!)

I can't wait to see what you're doing! Ornaments?
I can't wait to see, either. We used to do them like this for Easter. I cannot get over how much you all look alike: Evil One, Maybelline and You!
In Flea's defense, that big messy one in the middle is mine. It was stuck in the carton and my fingers went right through it trying to free the durned thing.
IT'S SNOWING HERE!!! :D
Man Hands, LOL! I can't do those damned eggs either. I also can't dress Barbie dolls any more...
A little Crazy Glue and those cracked eggs can be Easter Eggs .. the cracks could be a design, or not
Evil looks nothing like you does she .. bwahaaaaaaaaaaaa

Are you doing the Ukranian eggs? I'm jealous you are so crafty.
I can't wait to see the finished eggs.
I also CANNOT believe how much you all look alike. You look more like 3 sisters that mom, aunt, and daughter. It must be so nice to be able to do family things like that.
ok edited the post and you are now tagged for the meme I thought you had already done it. And pick up the award to miss kreative blogger!
Can't wait to see! What did you do with all the innards? Omelet's for dinner?
I'm on the edge of my seat. It looks interesting. Also, a very yummy dinner.
You tease....

I like this novel very much and don't remember that how many times I have read it. What I remember is that I read it first time when I was sixteen.
