Yes, it's sideways. I've tried everything to make it not so. But whadda ya think of my wind chimes? They're a gift from my grandmother. I squishy heart them. All of our bedrooms are on the back side of the house, so they sing us all to sleep at night. Here in Oklahoma we get plenty of wind all year. It's a beautiful thing.
And isn't my twirly hummingbird pretty? One of my all time favorite aunts knows that I collect hummingbirds and gave that to me when we moved to Tulsa. The wind catches it and it sends sparkles through my dining room window. I less-than-three AND squishy heart the copper twirly!
Hope you're all staying warm! I had a busy day yesterday. Today promises to be even better, having the kids home all day. Lots of sewing to do.
Until I write again ...

P.S. For an interesting take on a Maya Angelou poem, pop over to MUD's. He's a cranky fellow at times, but I can't help but agree with much of what he says in his response to the poem. You may need to scroll down to find the Maya post. And I love that he has 41 years of wedded bliss to back his argument. Though I can't quite agree with the part about the shoes over $50 ...
Oh, and for my gentler readers, he drop an f-bomb.

Such pristine new snow on your street. Were you out there shooting the second the snow stopped?
PS The video didn't work for me :(.
What got you yesterday is socking us today. More snow!! Just what we need.
The picture of the bush is so pretty. I love the way ice makes every thing sparkle.
So that's ice? It totally looks like snow! Glad you're okay! Can't wait to see your sewing!
I love an ice storm, they're just beautiful. Especially when someone else has to deal with them.
We are all snow here now. And heading to a nice coating of ice later. Yay. I am intrigued with this Mud character....Will go check it out. Happy sewing;)
I love storms (when I am safe at home) We're having a storm today in the northeast...school closed down. Hopefully hubby will come home early....lots more snow coming I love it.
We didn't get the little pebbles here - or, if we did, they all melted into one nice sheet of ice!
Stay warm yourself!
Snow AND sleet/icy here .. so we win ...
Beautiful, but I don't even want to THINK about all the damage to the plants.
I, too, enjoy the soothing sounds of a nice wind chime.
Wow, that's a lot of ice. Is it normal for you guys to get so much white this time of year?
Yes, it definitely looks reeeally cold. We only had the cold & no precipitation for one day. Now it's all gone & back to 60's.
I had the same problem with my video. No way to flip it, but pictures can be flipped. Go figure.
So, are we going to toast as we drink our pre-colonoscopy cocktails? I think that would be a hoot.
Stay warm!
I have been watching copious amounts of kid tv today. We are not moving. COLD, ice, and yucko. Stay inside and safe.
Since the high today was 81, I have had no trouble staying warm. We are suppose to cool down Friday for a couple days. This is crazy. Last week we got down in the 20s and this week our highs are in the 80s. I wish we got some of the pretty stuff to go along with the cold when we get cold.
It does look pretty, if only it wasn't so bloody cold! I adore chimes too and have them on my back patio where we can here them. You're ice was worse than ours.
You collect hummingbirds? Aren't Fred and Bessie jealous?
Beautiful pictures. I shoveled 15 inches of snow today. Thankfully, the snow here is light and fluffy (and beautiful too).
Yikes! Cold!
Um ... it was about 62 and I had to put on a sweater when I went outside today? (Ducks and runs, fearful of Flea tossing a snowball between her shoulder blades.)
hey! way to survive pinky! yay global warming!
Looking at your car gave me bad flashbacks about ice storms where I had to chisel off the sheet of ice from my door handle before I could get in my car. *shiver*
Know what I love about videos? Nothing! JK, I like to listen for the bloggers voice. You have a lovely voice, even if it is sideways ;-)
Oh, and I received a cast off ipod this year too!
I covet your chimes. Seriously. If they go missing in the night, check my front porch first.
And hel-LOOOO? Your voice?!? It's almost exactly what I hear in my head when I read your stuff. Kewul.
