Our first stop, after the intermediate school for an IEP update on Little Guy (I'll try and remember to update y'all on that later this week) was First Watch for breakfast. I know they're a franchise, since I've eaten in one in Orlando, but this one was better. Maybe it's just because I'm happier in Tulsa. But it was good. Here's a photo of a window hanging inside the restaurant - I thought it was pretty:
Next to Hobby Lobby, where I took no photos, but we bought Little Guy a map. That had to do with our morning at school.
Y'all already know about these little fellas (I know they're destructive - they're still cute!):
We actually took a wrong turn into the park while looking for something else. The wrong turn led us to an adorable garden shop, where I bought this:
Isn't he the cutest little sock monkey ever? His name, according to his tag, is Mr. Monkeysuit. Someone needs to keep the chimps company.
Just outside the shop was a beautiful greenhouse and garden (albeit dormant):
We finally made it to our destination - the Philbrook Museum. Tulsa actually has a couple of very nice mueums, including this one. I asked at the desk to make sure I could take photos, then figured out how to turn off the flash on my purse camera. Look what we saw! I'm going to just drop in the variety here:
And this:
And this (I love Thomas Moran):
Some more (crow's feet!):
Even more (weird stuff from Africa)!
Cool huh? Okay, this one isn't cool, so much, as just ... ummm ... let's just say it caught my eye. Now I can't remember what it was called. Something about mother earth laid bare, I think:
And it wouldn't be Tulsa and the southwest if there weren't some of these:
And these:
And that's all for now. Time for bed. Have a blessed Sunday, all!
Until I write again ...

Wow. The Mother Earth piece is powerful.
Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary ... and I love both Mr Monkeysuit AND the mother earth painting ... its almost as if she and the earth are part of a quilt .. I would like to see it in person, it fascinates me
Happy anniversary!
And I also love museums of any kind. When my hubby was gone in Iraq, I took my son to the museum a lot. Because - well - there was always food, drink, and climate control available. PLUS there was people-watching. Bonus!
Happy Anniversary!
Love the pictures of the museum, et al!
What a lovely day!!! Happy Anniverary!! Wishing you and Hunny many more years of Health and Happiness together.
Happy Anniversary! Did you tell us how many years, or is it a secret?
What a nice way to spend the day together. I hope you go back to that garden when it is in bloom and share it with us all!
