This weekend, while I was barely awake, my Mommy dragged me out to a farmer's market across the river. I say dragged because I was not awake one bit this weekend. What the heck?
When I brought the pretty produce home, there was some unexpected interest in the zucchini:
Then they spotted the onions and beets - such photogenic cows, they've learned to pose in their travels:
From there it was all I could do to keep them from jumping off the counter and shattering. One of the kids said something like, "Well if they think that's cool, they should go out in the garden." Kids.
Grazing in the basil groves seemed to be fun for them:
But the carrot forest got them really excited. They'd never seen anything like it!
And then I brought them in. Silly cows.
Until I write again ...

I miss them....
Those two really get around!
Rosie misses them ... Gus .. not so much.. they helped at Thanksgiving, if you recall Fred got into the wine almost literally.
I wonder if they remember their trip to the corn field/ pumpkin patch. Especially when Fred tried to safari into the tall stalks...
looks like they had a great time! Are they still coming to Texas? let me know!
I recently bought my son this tiny duck while waiting in the check-out line at Bed, Bath & Beyond. It has a small button on the side and when you squeeze it, there's a little flashlight inside and it says, "quack quack quack." I think you need some ducks to join your cows.
So glad to see Fred & Bessie are still up to their normal antics. They look as if they've lost weight! Are you starving them?
Next time you want to keep them out of the veggies, just mention beef stew.
they look like trouble to me....how do you ever keep them at home?
Nothing like a good dairy and produce department!
I suppose they just party until the cows come home! Wait, they are home. Oops.
Now I have zucchini envy. This is just great. I am jealous of cows.
