I had no idea that basil would re-seed. It's a tender annual and wilts at the first sign of frost. But look! It's all over the place from last year!
This year the Hunny has planted pole beans next to carrots in the container. I love carrots fresh from the garden! Mmm!
This year we don't have four million tomato plants. Thank goodness! I was running out of people to give them to last year. But what we do have is looking good.
This ugly thing? It's either a blackberry or a raspberry bush. We planted two bushes last year and thought they both died. Evidently one made it.
I just like looking at my little Flamingo/Duck that my mommy gave me. It makes me smile.
Check it out! The amaryllis is blooming again! It's the most bizarre thing!
My very first daylily! Hoorah!
So this is my only compare and contrast. This is the forsythia that Karen shipped me in a box last summer.
This is the same forsythia last summer, in my kitchen windowsill, plotting world domination.
Finally, a sweet little hosta from Mother's Day a year ago. It's not very big, but it's a bloomin'!
I have a ton of irises to plant, thanks to Karen Deborah. Trying to figure out where to put them ...
Until I write again ...

I have never seen Daylillies that look like that.. those have a lot more petals than the roadside versions I am used to .. its nice to see how your garden grows!
Your garden is looking good! I love seeing things growing away, don't you?
That hosta is such a good thing - none of my hostas have ever bloomed. They are only two years old though so . . . they have time!
Basil doesn't do well for me... yours looks great!
Hoping that forsythia doesn't take over your yard!
My basil tends to die, too. Maybe if I plant it in the garden instead of in a pot...
I enjoyed the tour of your garden. A mood-brightener! The amaryllis is beautiful. Hi to Fred & Bessie.
Thank goodness we get a season of green and growing to help us recover from winter. Your garden looks great. Like the duck/flamingo too.
Very nice photos! Unfortunately, when I had surgery on my hand I didn't have a magical green thumb attached. I'm afraid to weed because I might pull up the wrong thing!
Your garden grows better than mine. However, the raspberries are going gangbusters this year. My son reported a watermelon growing (not sure if I believe him) and we are not sure where the pansy came from, but it sure is beautiful.
Other than that, we have some very overgrown strawberries and lots of other weedy things.
That basil looks beautiful - wish I could make some pesto for you =).
So you have a perennial basil! I am impressed;)
I planted things for the first time this year. So far only one tomato plant has died! Your garden looks WAY better though!!
I've had an amarylis that has bloomed twice a year for 3 years now. Very bizarre! What a wonderful garden you have!
So apparently, you don't have foxes living in your garden & wreaking havoc...
Heavens to Betsy, I'm behind on reading blogs.
Your garden is looking good. What are a few sprigs of grass here and there? And isn't it wonderful how food springs forth from the earth?
