Just a quick shout out for a friend: Shelby McQuilken, an old college dorm buddy, has officially got her photography business up and running! I know it probably won't mean much to you unless you live in or near Tulsa, but you can all pop over to her brand, spankin' new site and check out her work! Beautiful shots.
Until I write again ...

Did she take that one? Nice. Its raining here too and on the way to the bus stop there was this kid playing at jousting another possibly taller kid or maybe his dad with a bright red umbrella .. if I hadnt been trying to get across before the light changed, if my camera hadnt been in my purse and if I hadnt been carrying an umbrella... why I could have had a great shot ... candid
Lovely picture. I have seen many Japanese rainy season pictures with a similar look - has a very Japanese-y feel to it for me.
Very nice.
Thanks for the shout out! I sooooo appreciate it!
My son, Joshua, and I stood out in the pouring rain for hours to take pictures of that umbrella. I got a little nervous when the lighting and thunder started! The hardest part was keeping the camera dry--WE got totally soaked!
Hugs,
Shelby
Gorgeous photo - I'll appreciate it more when we're not having a rainy, miserable weekend ourselves and no beautiful bridges and bright red umbrellas to enjoy it with. (Always the optimist!)
VERY nice. But you are right. It is a long way to Tulsa. Glad that beauty showed up on your blog. Best wishes to Ms McQuilken on her new adventure.
What a beautiful, serene shot. I'm a long way from Tulsa but I'll definitely swing by to visit Shelby's website.
