Tulsa Dog Agility Trials

I was torn on what to post about today. My daughter's fractured wrist or the dog agility trials? Agh! I choooooooose ... dog agility trials! Maybelline's wrist will still be fractured tomorrow. Heh. Poor kid.

A good friend invited me to see her dogs run and jump this last Friday. I've never been to agility trials, and we do own two Aussie mixes, so what the heck? A couple of friends went with me, as you'll see from the photos. Today's post is mainly photos, since I took about 1,000. Literally. I'm narrowing it down for y'all. You're welcome. Sit back and enjoy?

Fred and Bessie had great seats.

But we moved down to the floor to visit.

My friend's border collie. Isn't he pretty? He reminds of Dlyn's Reilly.

My friend's dog's big brother, Winston.

Fred & Bessie wonder why he can't come out to play.

Look! Another black and white dog! Y'all HAVE to go visit his mommy. Her site is hysterical. The Udder Toys she sells for dogs are really cool (see below photo), and a percentage goes to the rescue of your choice!

I had no idea Boston's had tongues that could do that.

Yet another black and white! This time a puppy. Look at that FACE!!!

And his big brother. I have a weakness for border collies. Can you tell?

And Australian Shepherds. They're my favorite.

This handsome black and white stole Bessie's heart.

This smiling Sheltie stole the limelight, leaving the bovines in the dust.

Doesn't this handsome boy look a lot like my Flash?

Alright, he's not black and white, but OMIGOSH! How cute is he?!?

And look at the EYES on this baby! Okay. You can only see one eye. You'll have to take my word for it. He has two. And they're both gorgeous!

Ready for dogs in action?

Corgies! So of course I thought of Karen! Cutie pie!

Shelties can move!

Look at that Golden go!

I think the border collies were probably the fastest, though.

Of all the obstacles, the weaving in and out of poles impressed me most.

*screeeeech* Stop the action! Beautiful Aussie alert! Blue Merles are stunning.

Someone told me that this is a Portugeuse Water Dog? A strange looking creature with shaggy brows.

Beauty in motion, y'all.

Not just firehouse dogs ...

Winston the Weimeraner may be nearly 70 in dog years, but he's still got what it takes!

Here they are, friends Martha and Larry, with Winston. They should be smiling. Winston took three first places and two seconds.

And that, my bloggy peeps, is all I got and then some. Much more than enough, no? Have a great Tuesday! Tomorrow I regale you with tales of the fractured wrist!

This just in! My friends, pictured above, are in the local news clip! Check it out!

Until I write again ...

Agility is my favorite dog sport. Well, that and fly ball. So. Fun. Someday, when I grow up, I'm going to do that. I had started training our Jack Russell and she lurved it A Lot but we never got into the ring before she died.

Who doesn't love pretty puppy pictures? Fantastic! I wish Maddie could do agility... she's so fast. But her anxiety level would be through the roof!

Dogs are so stinking smart. I only wish I could train the farmer to do as I command. I guess a dog is on my list to get so I have someone who will listen.

PS, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the farmer is dumb or anything but he isn't very trainable or agile. I couldn't see him jumping over that stuff.

Blue Merles-- wow! what a gorgeous dog. There were lots of them, but I agreed with the "*screeeeech* Stop the action!".

I love all of these! What fun, and what fun for F&B to go on such a healthy outing;) PS__ Poor Maybelline! Feel better.

Poor Maybelline, how did she fracture her wrist, did she try some odd move while flat ironing her hair?

I thoroughly enjoyed these pox, nothing more enjoyable than looking at pups .. except maybe Manolos on sale...

What a fun post!!! Just what I needed before stepping out of my cocoon and into my day . . . a BUSY one with a piano recital for miss R at the end.

Thanks for the giggles and the gape-mouthed "wow" moments.

; )

p.s.
Prayers for Miss M and the healing wrist.

Border collies and Aussie Shepherds are my favorites too. Have you ever seen FLYBALL? Now THERE is a dog race where the Border Collies can beat the whippets! Check it out on U-TUBE
