Brenda Angel, Sculptor Extraordinaire

One of my walking buddies, Brenda, is a sculptor. How cool is that?!? And because she's my buddy, I have to show off her work. Starting with a piece she did in just a couple of weeks. Here's the guy she's sculpting:

Taking measurements:

Here's the bust as it's being worked on:

With hair!

Brenda at work:

And here it is completed, ready for the foundry:

How cool is that? She's absolutely amazing. Her site's in its infancy, but here's a write up about a piece she did.

Oh, the subject of her work? One Adlan Cruz. Check out his real life photo from his site:

Rowr.

Until I write again ...

Wow! What a talented friend you have! I must say that the guy was looking a little nervous while she was measuring him!

That is amazing. I can never figure out how people like your friend can send that talent from their brain to their fingers. There has always been some kind of disconnect in mine. Beautiful work.

How intriguing! Look what she can do with measuring tools and clay! HOW TALENTED!!! Ya gotta have the tools, but talent is the thing that makes it exquisite!
