Card Contest!

This is one way cool contest! On the right is a teeny ad from Uprinting. They want to give someone a really cool gift of custom made cards. I know, right? What would you do with custom made cards? I've entertained ideas, forever, of custom greeting cards with Fred and Bessie. Something like this:

Yeah. You know you have a favorite photo. Something worthy of LOLcats.

Here's the contest in a nutshell:

(2) PRIZE WINNERS WILL RECEIVE

250 7 x 5" Greeting Cards (Half-Fold); 10 pt Cover with matte or gloss coating

Full Color Outside and Blank Inside (4/0)

Shipping Must be Paid by Winner. Offer Valid for UNITED STATES SHIPPING ONLY.

**********************************
How awesome is that? Just in time for Christmas cards to be made! Or Custom Postcards doubling as invitations!

Wanna know how two of you bloggy peeps can have cards you design yourself? Leave me a comment telling me how you'd use your cards! I'll use the random number generator to choose two winners. And I'll be ordering cards, too. I can't wait to get my paws into Photoshop and play. Hmmm ...

Until I write again ...

Custom cards . . . I can think of a billion and one ways I would use them. Maybe I would FINALLY keep in touch with all of those friends in Ohio who I only call once or twice a year. Maybe I would leave Hubby a love note on a day when I won't be home until 9:00 due to classes. Or maybe a thank you note to my parents for being such wonderful parents. The possibilities are endless . . . Maybe a card to my friend Flea in OK!

I already design and print my own holiday and other event cards ... but these I would use to write little notes to enclose with stuff I send to others .. like the note I sent you with that little cat

Umm...let's see, I'm not really good with words (LOL!), so I would probably keep them all to myself and line my drawers with them! :)

NOT!

Are you kidding? I'm a writing maniac who loves to scribble notes to the world. Even peeps I meet on the street...I ask their address so I can send them a card. I sent a thank-you note to the guy who fixed my Buick and told him how much "Bessie" looked like her old self after someone bumped into her rear!

Thank-you notes are a lost art and I'm bringing it back to life. I don't care what others think, nothing replaces a handwritten note of thanks, good wishes, or "just thinking of you!" And maybe--just maybe--my bloggy friends will get a real handwritten note too! :)

What a great idea!

HUGS!

As the new-and-official PTA secretary, I could do damage to the teachers and staff at school! (Yeppers, it's come to my attention that I'll have to send birthday greetings--and get well wishes--to the teachers and staff.)

Fred & Bessie would be a delightful way to shake 'em up.

I love notecards...mostly for writing thank you notes to people I interview for articles. But also just to write "hey, how are ya doing?" notes to friends. I know it's shocking that some of us old-fashioned types still actually use the postal service in this age of quick e-mails. LOL :o)

Great contest!

I would keep 100 of them for myself and I would give away the rest as holiday gifts and Giveaways on my blog.

Fun contest!

Let's see. I would use them to mail stalker notes to all bloggers that read my stuff. Oh that would only work if they would give me their addresses.

I would actually make holiday and birthday cards. How fun!

Hmm...let's see...I would take some to my favorite restaurants and tell them thanks for keeping me fat. I would take a couple to some bookstores and tell them thanks for keeping me broke. I might stick some in my neighbors' mailboxes to thank them for having a meeting in my front yard about my fence (they thought I was putting up chain link when they were steel posts for a cedar fence!). I might also send some to certain members of the government thanking them for taking away more of my tax dollars. I think I could send a few to the various medical facilities who keep sending me bills thinking I am made of money. With the rest (I would say that should leave me with about 100) I will send to friends, family, and various other vagrants who come into my life. Yeah, I think that could work. Just sayin'.
