The Gifts That Keep on Giving

It's that time of year! Time to start thinking about Christmas gifts for friends and family! Personally? I don't like the Christmas stuff littering stores till after Thanksgiving, but I've been gift buying for awhile now, so I thought I'd pass on some things I find fun. Some are things I designed, so you know right off that I'm shameless. :)

Let's start with a book, shall we? A Cup of Comfort Book of Christmas Prayer is one you may want to get for yourself, since it takes you through the entire month of December. A friend of mine - Connie Pombo (say her last name and let that final O just roll off your tongue - isn't that fun? Connie Pombooooooo!) - contributed to the book. It's beautifully printed. I can't guarantee the author's signature, though. She loves me best.

Another friend of mine offers prints of his work, as well as greeting cards with his art work. If you have anyone in the family who loves historic Route 66, then head to Dave's and take a look at his stuff. I squishy heart his artwork. Especially his Route 66 stuff. Here are a couple of my faves:

Wait. Don't leave. I said this was the GOOD stuff. Really. Don't go away. Lookit! The first one I ever did!

And the second one, one my friend Heather wears all the time:

My absolute favorite, seeing as I say it all the freakin' time:

If you don't care for the style of shirt or want it on something else (like a hat, mug, bib, whatever), just let me know and I'll pop it onto something different for you!

Finally, some of my favorite gag gifts - I look for new ones every year, just for you, my bloggy friends. Aren't I selfless? I think I popped my shoulder out of joint just now patting myself on the back. Ow.

Oh alright. I go back to my favorite places for quirky. I'm predictable that way. And ThinkGeek always has the best stuff. This, for instance:

What kid wouldn't want their very own sushi plush toy, darn it?

Now, even better than the Annoy-a-Tron, they bring us the Evil-Tron! Cool, huh? I want one.

My other favorite site is Archie McPhee, of course. What's not to love? Cat lady action figures. Bacon strip bandages. Nihilistic breath mints. And this year, Hand Underpants! Are you really naked under those gloves? No!! Don't these rock? I think they'll be stocking stuffers for the boys this year.

But seriously? For you moms and grandmas out there? Check this OUT. I'm seriously lovin' it - shove all the tot's critters in this Otto Plush Animal Bag:

Just make sure your child or grandchild doesn't try stuffing your chihuahua in there.

That does it for me. Y'all have fun browsing the web, and stay safe, will ya?

Until I write again ...
