I'll wait. I know some of you are still guessing.
Okay. Sunday night while I was at work - don't get your panties in a wad; I work three hours at church doing child care now - the Hunny was home fixing my Singer treadle machine. Remember when I brought it home, a Free Cycle item (meaning it was free!)? Lookit:
The machine and stand were in good shape, but the treadle foot was snapped and the belt missing. The belt is still missing, but I know I can find one of those for about ten bucks. The treadle, however - not so much. We were even looking at buying a treadle machine, but I'm cheap and hated the idea. Now I don't have to! Lookit!
And look!
Didn't he do a fantastic job? It's not the prettiest treadle in the world (believe you me - for 250 bucks we could've had the prettiest treadle machine I've ever seen), but it goes round and round like it's supposed to. Don't believe me? Lookit!
Isn't he the awesomest Hunny in the entire world?
Until I write again ...

Your Hunny is wonderful! Go, Hunny, Go!
Yeah. Aren't Hunny's great.
Yes, your hunny is great!
You do have a great hunny. :0) My mom had an old Singer sewing machine but one in a huge cabinet-like thing that I sewed on a couple times. This was a really neat post. Praise to GOOD men in our lives!!!!
Great thing a treadle, I have had two, one I made a quilt on. Both are gone, *sigh* I miss them.
That machine is mine. It has my name on it. Singer is my maiden name...
You gals are so lucky to have awesome hubbys. I had two(weren't particularly awesome), but neither could do anything like yours.
My son can, and thankfully takes good care of his mom.
I love sewing on a treadle machine. The one you have looks just like the one my mother had. My dad had it motorized in 1957. It was just never the same.
An awesome Hunny! WooHoo! Be very nice to that guy. He's one in a million. Fun to see the sewing machine in action and to hear the voice of some of my favorite people in OK. Don't get too puffed up...I think you may be the ONLY people I know in OK. But I know I like you all. (yall?)
Awesome! I wish my husband would surprise me and have the basement finished one day!
That IS awesome. I am seriously weighing whether or not you have THE most awesome hubby since mine let me hang in my pj's until noon while he did ALL of the school bus stops today...
LOved the video and how serious and somber you all all.
WOW! I can't wait to see what beauty begins to treadle off that new/old machine. You're blessed indeed! : D
