Spring - It Really Did Arrive and I Have Proof

Trying this one more time, this whole spring and posting photos thing. I'm not known for my great photography, so it won't be a great disappointment if it doesn't happen. Still, I like to share. Ya know.

The best shot first, is the Hunny's newest compost bin. I can tell you right now that it will need some wire across the front. The Babies have already gotten into it, snuffling around.

These are the dogwood trees in bloom at the hospital on Monday. Everything is in bloom at once here in Tulsa, which is unusual. Things bloom in stages, but not this year. Take these, for example, which should have bloomed earlier and been done. I took this photo the same day as the above.

The cool thing about spring, though, is the shedding trees. Everywhere I go it looks like snow! Especially when it's blowing and swirling in the middle of the street. Petals, petals, petals!

I don't have photos of the redbuds, which I ADORE. The Hunny and I have talked about getting a cluster of them for the front yard.

One last shot? I told you that spring came all at once, which seems to have happened all over the country this year. My Hunny took advantage and made his own topsy turvies out of pickle buckets. We'll see how they do, what with our fierce Oklahoma wind. He's already planning hot peppers in the two extra buckets.

Until I write again ...

Yeah, Spring!

I am curious to see how your husband's homemade "topsy turvys" work since I have yet to see one work in this area. It always seems like the plants die before they have any fruit!

How are you feeling?

Redbuds are gorgeous! Without seeing your front yard, I already know they'll look great there.

So you had to go off your meds, swallow pills, get poked and still no real answers? That sucks Flea! I'm glad the flowers are all blooming for you - you deserve it!!

Hey Flea,
Thinking of you with your Thyroid here. I had mine biopsied, did the radioactive stuff etc and have had about half of it removed. You're in my prayers as I know what you're going through. I wanted to say that I'm lovin' your topsy turvy buckets. Why didn't I think of that. I bought one at big lots to try this year and have strawberries in it. I'm wanting my hubby to do the compost thing too this year but he's not as excited as me about it.
Take care and blessings,
