The Thyroid, I Don't Want It

WARNING: I'm in the mood for whining.

This is ... hold on while I take my socks off to count ... day eight without my thyroid meds. My scans are Monday and Tuesday of next week. So five more days without the Synthroid.

Caffeine is all that's keeping me alive at this point.

It's not one in the afternoon and I want a two hour nap.

Yesterday? Got up at 6:30 with kids. Back to bed at 7:30. Got up at nine. Fell asleep on the couch at 9:30. Woke up at 10:30. Took a little nap from 1:30 till about three. Made a pot of coffee so I'd be alert enough to pick up kids from school.

This? Is insane.

Can I PLEASE just get the dang thyroid taken out? After the doc looks at the scans, determines the nodules on my thyroid are scary and dangerous and ready to devour the rest of me, can she send me to an endocrinologist to take it OUT already?

I hope so.

Now, if you'll excuse me, there's a couch calling my name.

Until I write again ...

Oh No! So hard to function that way - I hope they get that sorted out. Though it sounds fun to sleep, blog, sleep, blog, sleep. My schedule is work, go home for 45 minutes, go to night school, get home at 9 and say good night to my 9 year old and teens if they are not at work and go to bed. Then do the same the next day. But on the weekend, I blog, try to have them scheduled but they don't all release when I tell them to. So sometimes Monday posts on Sunday, etc. Crazy.

Wishing good luck for you at the doctors. Maybe they can find a solution that won't take too long or be too expensive (yeah, right--what was I thinking!) Hang in there anyway.
