But. I have news.
Our family has decided - motivated by the mama - to cancel the internet connection in the house. You read that right. No more internets. My idea.
Lotta reasons and discussion and thought went into this. I don't think it's permanent. Maybe.
I haven't not had internet for nearly 18 years. I might die.
So. I won't be blogging for awhile.
My friend, Suzie, instigated this. She cancelled her internet and goes to the library to be online and work, leaving her evenings free to spend with her family and do important stuff.
Not that you all aren't important. YOU ARE. Really.
But for me it's not about getting away to work without distraction. It's about being a parent without distraction. Teenager are a lot like toddlers. With vocabulary. And persuasive skills. And the same sneaky nature that takes advantage of lapses in parenting.
*SIGH*
So I'm off. I figure come mid-August I'll be trekking to the library while the kids are in school, schlepping my laptop, writing and blogging. Till then, you'll catch me on FaceCrack (Felicia Chris - friend me!), since there's an iPhone app for that. But that's about it.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! I DO!!! DON'T LEAVE MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Until I write again ...
Flea

Ha, you can try to hide but I will find You!!!
It's all good. And we'll pick up where we left off.
Blessings, my friend.
I get it. I have a teenager that was wrecking her life on the internet all in sneak. Your a good mama, family first.
Oh my, I think I might shrivel up and DIE without...but I can understand. It's just me and The Hubby so it's not as critical for the family time anymore...just me and he time.
Catch when you come back!
I totally get it. And BRAVA! See you in August;)
I totally understand & I commend you for taking the initiative. It won't be easy. Good luck my friend. I'll keep you on the sidebar just in case.
We do what we have to! You're a good mama Flea!
<><
Well when you put it that way, not only can I not complain that you're leaving, but maybe I just might take something from your example.
Brilliant and very courageous move my friend.
Wait... no internet means no skype...
breathe, jeri...
You'll be missed, but I hope this will be a good thing. Kids in particular may not have the perspective to know that there's Life Beyond the Internet. Sometimes we have to jar them loose so they'll go sample more of life. Heck, I know it was good for even my aged, crusty self to have reduced internet usage for a few days.
Since I have a sneaky teenager, I totally get it. Totally.
I'd say I'd miss you, but since I've already found you on FB.... well, I can just stalk you there. :)
missing your posts!
I've had some crazy things lately too! Totally understand. I hope things get wonderful!
