*pff*
Thank you for the great writing ideas. I think I'm on board with Asthma Girl and writing about going off the grid. Going rogue. :D Maybe. But nothing is screaming at me right now as a topic. Maybe I'll just study for the GRE instead. Yeah. That's what I'll do.
Monday the Hunny and I head to Norman, to OU, to check out the school, talk to people. Hunny's a good person to take, since he works for a university. One which doesn't have the degree I'm looking for. Stink. Wish me luck.

On a different note, here's an essay on how I spent my summer:
Five teenagers. Monday night free concerts by the river. Museums. Family visited. No burning - it's been about 150 degrees in my garage most of the summer. Lots of trips downtown for fun. Throw in an extra teenager periodically (a girlfriend, random neighbor kids, etc.).
Lots and lots and lots of novels. I think I've read nearly all of Jonathan Kellerman's Alex Delaware series. Excellent psychological mysteries. Most of Patricia Cornwell's, Scarpetta series. Initially enjoyable. The characters became less likable as the series went along. Eventually she switched from first person to third. That just killed it for me. Steven James's new thriller series - can't wait to get my hands on the latest one, The Bishop. Oh! And I read all of the Harry Potter books for the first time. Enjoyed them thoroughly. Won't read them again.
Last but not least, next week I meet with a children's book author, Catherine Zoller. She's working on a poetic series, beautifully illustrated. Check 'em out.
Okay, so this isn't an essay. Shut up. I have to study now. You have a good day.
Until I write again ...

Took a glance at your blog friends. I have to agree...I wouldn't get much studying done either. In fact, I may have to visit some of them :)
Focus my dear...FOCUS.
Glad you had a fun summer, sweetie!
I am so jealous of your reading time. I used to read all the time BC= before child!

Hehe. Looked like an essay to me. May the study gods smile on you.
I liked the essay!
It sounds as though you had a very interesting summer.
Have you read any Ann Stuart books?
OU? I suppose you mean Oklahoma and not Ohio University, huh. Oh well, got myself excited over nothing. Thanks for stopping by. I think I've surpassed "slow blogger" and become a "moving as fast as the North American tectonic plate" blogger.
