Hi!

Have I given up blogging? It looks like it. I want to say no, but am not sure. I'm guessing that once it's colder I'll spend less time with the chickens.

The photo is my youngest with Polish. Evidently she snuggled right in. He brings the chicks in periodically, or they'll stand at the back door and wait for me to leave it open so they can come in and explore. They're funny girls.

No eggs yet. I expect some in the next two or three weeks. Can't wait!

The girls are all healthy and beautiful. Am posting from my phone and haven't figured out how to attach more than one photo. Sorry. Peep is growing so.

Going to see Tim Hawkins tomorrow night with friends. Early birthday gift. Fire fire fire fire ants!!!

Have been reading more than usual. That's not good. Means I'm keeping my mind busy enough not to think. Time to put down the books - and the iPhone - and back away. And go to sleep.

Until I write again ...

Hi, Flea! I had my ups and downs with blogging, too, but am back at it. Your perspective on reading is interesting...I've never thought of it that way, but maybe I do read in order to avoid thinking! How are Fred and Bessie...has their magnetism for each other survived? Your blog is in my google reader so I hope to see more from Flea's World soon!

I've been on the no-blogging bandwagon myself lately. Can't seem to put words down that I like. Oh well, maybe fall and winter will bring me back home.

I understand about the blogging. I haven't been doing much of it since I started this whole new addiction to re-painting & re-purposing furniture. I practically live at Goodwill now, which is making hubby crazy!

However, I have been keeping up with the chickens through facebook because you crack me up. Besides, I'm so envious of your fresh eggs.

I've been reading a lot more too... ever since hubby gave me that Kindle. It just seems to be necessary when you spend a lot of time in doctors offices...
