Last summer we tore up the carpet in the dining room. We thought we had a slab leak. We didn't, thank goodness, but we've been living on cement in the dining room.
I researched a ton of options, including brown paper floors, tile, wood, etched cement. And I kept coming back to plywood.
So, even though I'm well entrenched in the process, I'm experimenting with a different blogging app for my phone and will show y'all the beginning of my floor journey. Hang in there. It'll get better. I hope.
The photo included is a couple of small panels of plywood I was playing around with to see which stain we preferred. Like I said, trying out the app. We chose a dark walnut stain. I gotta tell ya, plywood soaks up the stain like a mattress soaks up pee. Geez.
So. Maybe I'll post from my computer tomorrow if this doesn't work well. You'll want to see the hall floor anyway.
Until I write again ...

I've been watching the progress on FB.
In our first old house my hubbie used plywood as our floors... he ripped the plywood down to plank sized boards and staggered the joints.. it came out amazing and no one could ever tell it was plywood!
LOL I tore out the carpet about 10 years ago in the living and dining room. The floor is plywood and it is stained, but not in a good way!!
One day I'll get a floor hahahaha
Looking forward to seeing the progress :)
